Ok so we went to ruby falls and it was very touristy, there were little rock formations that had been named such as fish, beacon and eggs, tobacco leaves and so on. The falls were beautiful! The whole thing only took about an hour and when we got to the falls I asked a lady to take our picture but she couldn't figure my camera out and so we got nothin :(

We checked out of our hotel on Friday morning and went driving up to Gatlinburg, we spent most of the day driving around because we wanted to go horse back riding but we ended up not going because it was poring by the time we got there. Then we checked into our cabin. The cabin was nice.. a little big for just the two of us but nice. We went to dinner in Gatlinburg that night and ate at the best restaurant ever. I can't remember the name right now but their steak is amazing! After dinner we walked around Gatlinburg and when we got like a mile away from our car it started poring again.. we walked back to our car and got drenched. The hot tub was awesome after that! I think this was the night that andrew went out to our car to get something and almost got attached by a wolf. Ok not really but it was a scary dog that we were not expecting.

On Saturday pored the whole day.. heavy torrents of rain. We ended up going to a time share sales thing and spending like 6 hours there having them try to sell us a time share. At some points they offended us but its all good. We ended up doing a trial thing, we give them some money and now we can stay at their resort once and see if we like it. We also got a free meal at the Alamo. Their steak was really bad in my opinion but the carrot cake was good :)

I really hope this time share thing works out... It would be super cool, it sounds to good to be true, so it probably is but we will see.

When we got back to the cabin that night the power was out. We had to go down to the check in place and get some matches, luckely there was a very nice oil lamp on the kitchen table. It was romantic.

So I've been back at work for a month now and things are going ok, I've got a lot of stuff to do all the time, its kindof a good thing and kindof a bad thing.

On October 6th we celebrated the twins first birthday, they are the cutest!

On October 10th and 11th Andrew and Gary from House Church put in our new windows, they are amazing!

On October 13th Andrew and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. We went to "our" restaurant the Olive Garden and then came home and had the Ice Wine that David had given us while we watched the Proposal. I really liked the movie, the wine not so much. Oh and Andrew got me flowers that are still kickin it 8 days later.

On October 14th my dad came over and put in a new sliding glass door which we are also loving.

On October 15th I got really sick, but I went to work anyway, I also went on friday and I am not feeling well still, I think it it a cold and I will not feel 100% for a few more days.

On October 20th My bosses daughter was diagnosed with H1N1 and the next day another coworkers daughter was also diagnosed. We also canceled House Church because the hosting family is sick. Schools are canceling due to sickness.. its super crazy.

That brings me to today, I hope it's a good one :)

  • I rather like that anonymity of xanga these days. It's more like a private diary and less like I have to entertain the world with pointless gibberish.

This month has been an interesting one..

2 people were let go from my workplace and I inherited some things. Not too much but still, I've been super busy ever since. I worked very hard up until Friday Sept 18th and then I was on vacation.

Andrew and I left on Sunday in the pouring rain and drove to Cleveland, TN. Andrew was really hoping to do some hiking and canoeing in the mountains and so he is quite disappointed in our vacation thus far. I really wanted to go horseback riding so I'm a little sad about that.

We went to the aquarium on Monday and it was awesome! We saw a 3D Imax show (including a whale in actual size) my favorite part was watching a sea turtle eat a jellyfish, it was very beautiful. The aquarium is in Chattanooga on the Tennessee River, the building and landscaping were breathtaking. Andrew and I got to pet sharks and sting rays, we even watched someone feed a sting ray! By the end of the day, however, we were all fished out. On the back of our Imax tickets was a coupon for a free appetizer at a restaurant across the street so we went there and had pizza :)

Tuesday we stayed in and listened to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows all day long. Except for when we went out to dinner at a bistro. It was a very nice bistro, Andrew had steak and I had spicy chicken. It was a log cabin feel and there were taxidermy rams and moose all over the place. Our weighter was amazing, he brought our leftovers out in a tin foil swan and when I asked him to take our photo he brought out some sparklers and took several to insure that we got a good one.

Andrew stayed up till 5 in the morning listening to Harry Potter! I don't blame him, it gets pretty intense when you get to the end. Needless to say I took several naps and ended up missing the end. Now it is 11 on Wednesday and Andrew is still sleeping :(

We have planned to go to Ruby Falls today, I think it will be fun.

    More to come!

I am developing an addiction to coffee in the morning which I'm not all that happy about.

My lil bro Lee got married on Sunday the 9th. It was the hottest day of the year and Lydia forgot her bouquet so they postponed it for a half hour. Lydia also made her own wedding dress and it was beautiful. Pictures are here.

I am trying to read a book... the Magic of Recluse and it is a little boring...

I spent $10 to add the w at the end of freethesockskp and it still makes me smile :)

Andrew and I are going on vacation the last week of Sept and we don't know where that will be yet.. Andrew has some ideas though. I can't wait!

We are getting a mattress set this weekend and I am soooo very excited about that... I will be able to put a bed skirt on our bed finally!!!!! also I will be able to decorate the guest bedroom and people can come visit us!!!

We haven't decided what windows to get yet but I am very excited about that.

There is more on my mind but I will keep it to myself...

    Cheers!
